TBOLM Web Refresh and Brand Guidelines

Our TBOLM website is the front door of our on-line Temple. It needs a refresh that will energize our current members, and connect with like-minded people who might be shopping for a new Temple. We are already ahead of the game because we have a strong, recognizable logo in our “TBO-flame.”

ADOPTING A STYLE GUIDE

So… how do we differentiate and become a destination for Temple Shoppers. Our Temple is quite simple and unassuming. We need something else, to help us establish our website personality.

A Style Guide is a powerful tool which governs the composition, design, and general look-and-feel of an organization’s messaging. When all commitees are on the same page, we can present a unified vision and consistent aesthetic to our Temple and Web audience.

Creative, Innovative & Inspiring Reform Judaism, which encompasses Who We Are, is our Temple’s tagline. It should be a part of each design, as a marketing tool.

Strong brands have clearly identifiable colors, logos, and typefaces that make their visual identity easily recognizable.

Included as a part of this guide is a vocabulary of text-labels, one for each committee. They are the building blocks, that will help Committe Members to easily produce effective flyers. They can be repositioned to fit across multiple media platforms, flyers, posters, website, eMail blast. The hope is that these text-labels will help to simplify the design process and give us a unifed style and brand identity.
